The thing I like most about dinosuars is that they are now extinct…my favourite would have to be T rex.
A few years ago, I got to visit the Natural History Museum in London (which is amazing) and seen some real specimens there, they have first T rex fossil ever found.
The science of their extinction is fascinating, some scientists believe that a comet or asteroid struck the earth and vaporised, others think it could have been due to volcanic activity and the rest believe the mass extinction resulted from a combination of these and a gradual change in climate and sea levels. Either way – I’m glad we don’t need to share the earth with them. Would we even have existed if they had survived?

My kids were fascinated with dinosaur when they were young. I have to say that it does not interest me really!

I loved Jurassic Park! Pteradactyls are probably my favourite, since they seem bird-like but are actually quite vicious!

      Hi,

my favorite dinosaurs are the flying dinosaurs – the Pterosauria, especially the really large ones :-).

I would not want a flying dinosaur that is as big as a car though, far too dangerous. I would take a mouse sized tiny Nemicolopterus – the smallest flying dinosaur yet discovered.

If you are interested in the flying dinosaurs, I found two great articles that are worthwhile reading if you want to know more about them:
