Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease caused by a micro-organism called mycobacterium tuberculosis. If you get it, you will have a type of pneumonia, drenching night sweats, severe weight loss, you will be coughing up blood and will have a cough that won’t go away. It is up there with HIV as the biggest killer due to an infection worldwide. We don’t have too much of it in Ireland though, luckily!
