      Hi Ellahorsegirl, thanks for the question. I think my favourite procedure is PCR – the polymerase chain reaction. It was developed by Kary Mullis, a surfer in California,who ended up getting the Nobel Prize for it. DNA is teeny tiny, invisible and impossible to just look at and analyse as it is. This procedure takes a piece of DNA and clones it over and over again until the DNA has amplified to a size that we can analyse its sequence. It changed molecular science forever when it was discovered. Have you performed any scientific procedures yourself?
