      It is really important, but it is not life or death!

      Yes I think it is really important, if we continue to destroy our habitat (planet Earth) we may need to move to survive so it is important to explore

      ….plus we need to watch out for an asteroid or comet which could cause a mass extinction like that which happened 65 million years ago and caused the end of the dinosaurs.

      I think it is impossible to weigh the importance of any scientific field against another, because what might seem unimportant one day might become the most important thing the next day! All science is important! Always!
